Field Study Intensive in Wyoming

Field Study Intensive in Wyoming

Since 2009, our Department of Studio Arts has teamed up with the University Honors College to offer art students the chance to enroll in a three-credit 17-day field study intensive in Wyoming. Students meet in Denver, Colorado in late June for museum visits and then head north via the Snowy Range Pass to Rock River, Wyoming, northwest of Laramie, where they work among an encampment of tents on the Spring Creek Preserve’s 6,000 acres, the Longhorn Lodge in Rock River, and makeshift studio space in a 1919-era bank building.
